Argentina

Argentina is the land of Gauchos, Asado, Mate, Pampas, Tango, and Dulce de leche. It stretches over 3,000 miles (5,000km) from Antarctica, through the wild glacier-filled mountains of Patagonia and the massive open plains of La Pampas to the deserts and tropical jungles in the north. Argentina offers such natural beauty for travelers that its political and economical instability is all the more saddening. Breathtaking waterfalls, great desert expanses, stunning Andesean peaks, desolate glacial lakes in Patagonia, the haunting steppes of Tierra Del Fueggo - Argentina's geography is varied enough to offer a lifetime of delight for the keen traveler. Even the nation's capital city, Buenos Aires, is acclaimed for its elegance. Buenos Aires is the center of the country in all ways except its geographical location. With the Río de la Plata, in the east of the country, it is actually the city that is closest to the Old Continent, and probably the most European city in South America.
